Leathers & Materials
Every skin used here is chosen one at a time, for one piece. This is what the atelier works in, and where it comes from.
House leathers
Alran, in France, for chèvre — the goatskin behind most of the linings here and the exterior of a few pieces. Tanneries Haas, in France, for Baranil and Novonappa calf. Weinheimer Leder, in Germany, for box calf. Fontanella, in Italy. Other tanneries are used where a project calls for it — Italian Buttero, Montbelle Epi, alpine and shrunken calf have all passed across the bench.
All of it is full grain: the top layer of the hide left intact, so the natural grain, veins and pores show. Those are not flaws. They are the record of a skin that has not been sanded or corrected, and the reason it ages well.
Exotics
Alligator, ostrich, python and ring lizard are sourced per piece and travel with their CITES documentation. I do not hold a stock of skins. A commission is placed and paid before its skin is bought, and you choose the individual hide from the supplier's photographs of what is in stock at that moment — not a material from a list.
Hardware and linings
Hardware is solid and made in Italy, finished in polished nickel or gold depending on the piece; denim carries bespoke cast hardware. Interiors are lined in chèvre as a rule, with English bridle or matching calf where a piece asks for it.
Authenticity
Every piece carries a stamped house mark and is recorded in the atelier ledger.
