Everything else you would want to know

Craftsmanship

Every piece is cut, stitched and finished by a single artisan — saddle-stitched by hand throughout, with edges built and burnished over several passes. Nothing is sent out, and nothing is made twice.

Tanneries, authenticity & CITES

House leathers come from a short list of tanneries: Alran in France for chèvre, Tanneries Haas in France for Baranil and Novonappa calf, Weinheimer Leder in Germany for box calf, and Fontanella in Italy. Others are used where a project calls for it.

Exotic skins — alligator, ostrich, python, ring lizard — are sourced per piece and travel with their CITES documentation.

Every piece carries a stamped house mark and is recorded in the atelier ledger.

Shipping

Priority shipping is included in the price of every piece — USPS, UPS, FedEx or DHL, depending on what is shipping. Expedited services are available on request at the cost of the service.

Returns

A finished piece may be returned within 7 days of delivery, subject to inspection, where a genuine fault in the making was missed before it shipped. Those we will always put right.

Wear and overloading are not faults: a card pocket is cut for the number of cards it names, and a strap is built for the weight it was designed to carry. Pieces altered or repaired elsewhere fall outside this.

Past that window a piece is still not beyond help — handbags in particular are built with repair in mind. Write, tell me what happened and send a photograph. Repairs are assessed on inspection and quoted individually.

Commissioned pieces are final sale.

Care

Keep away from prolonged direct sun and standing water. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Exotic skins relax and soften with wear — that is correct, not damage. Store loosely stuffed, out of a sealed bag.
